Word Processing is when you are using a computer to create, edit, and print documents. Out of all computer applications, word processing is the most commonly used on computers. To use word processing application, you need a computer or laptop, a special program called a word processor, and a printer. A word processor enables you to create a document, store it electronically on a disk, display it on a screen, change it by using commands and characters on the keyboard, and then print it out on a printer. A word processor is commonly known Microsoft Word or Open Office Writer. Every School in New Zealand that has computers should have a word processing program installed on their computers.
